COMPETITION RULES & TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Requirements
1.1 No purchase necessary to enter the competition (not that we sell anything).
1.2 The competition is open to anyone around the globe (though being able to read/write in English probably couldn't hurt)
1.3 You must submit a design that is of your own creation.
1.4 Valid email address.
1.5 If you win the competition, you will need a PayPal account for the prize money.
1.6 You must not be affiliated with or have any connection to Santa Claus Letters Online or Bl*nk Digital Media and Design. This includes relatives, friends, employees, and clients past or present.

2. Competition Entry
2.1 You can can submit as many designs as you like. Just keep in mind that having more than one design might decrease your chances of getting the most votes in any one entry.
2.2 The images you use to create you design must not be copyrighted or only used with explicit permission from the original creator. When you submit an entry you are agreeing that what you submit is your own work and does not violate any copyrights.
2.3 The email address you enter must be valid and one you have access to. We will notify you if you won via that email address.
2.4 You agree that by uploading your own letter design, you give us full permission to do with it what we like. We'll always credit you as the designer of the letter.

3. Voting
3.1 Only votes originating from the home page (http://www.santaclauslettersonline.com/home.asp) will count as valid. When linking to us, do not link to any other page if you want your vote to count.
3.2 Voting is done at the end of the third and final step of creating a free Santa letter. Once a user selects to print or email a letter, they will be directed to the voting page. There is no other way to vote.
3.3 In order for the vote to count, the voter will need to confirm their email address.
3.4 One vote per person/IP address. If you try to fake or make multiple votes you will be disqualified without notice.
3.5 Do not spam to try to get votes. You will be disqualified without notice if we get complaints about you.
3.6 Votes will not be shown for individual entries as to not influence the voting process.
3.7 Total number of votes the competition receives will be updated every 24 hours and posted on the competition page (http://www.santaclauslettersonline.com/competition.asp). This is necessary to validate votes and remove duplicate/fake/fraudulent votes. Only legitimate votes by absolute unique IP addresses that originated from the home page will be counted.

4. Competition Close
4.1 The competition closes on Thursday, 14th of December 2006 at 11:59PM GMT (6:59PM EST, 3:59PM PST). No votes will be counted past that point.

5. Winning and Announcement
5.1 The entry with the most legitimate votes wins the competition.
5.2 The winner will be announced on the competition page (http://www.santaclauslettersonline.com/competition.asp) on Friday, 15th of December 2006 at 12:00PM GMT (7:00AM EST, 4:00AM PST).

6. Prize
6.1 The competition must receive 100,000 votes in total for the $1,000 prize money. If the total number of votes is less, the prize money will be proportionately less. (eg If total votes comes to 50,000 then the prize money is $500).
6.2 We will contact the winner via the email address they provided.
6.2 Prize money will be sent via PayPal.
6.3 If the winner cannot be reached, the money will go to the runner up.

7. Cancellation
7.1 We reserve the right to nullify and cancel any entry for any reason during the submission process and throughout the course of the competition.
7.2 We reserve the right to nullify and cancel the entire competition for any reason. (This will only be done if vast irregularities are occurring). Be sensible, don't spoil it for everyone else.
